i saw the filming of red dawn on jefferson in detroit a couple of weeks ago. my mom owns the building they were shooting in so i got to meet the stars and everything!! jeffery morgan smiled at my sister and Josh Peck gave me a huge! easily the coolest experience of my life!!!

Yep there here in grand ledge, scared half of us to death with the explosions. I live in the aprtment building right next to the filming. they blew stuff up 6 times already tonight. I had no idea what was going on till a neighbor told me.

I live very close to Fitzgerald Park and have been hearing "explosions" all week. They have some very bright lights set up and there is very tight security, so no one is entering the park that I know of.

Filming early Monday morning, Nov. 2nd, in Detroit's New Center Area. Milwaukee & Second Ave. just outside the Michigan State Police Detroit Post. More vehicular carnage.

i live right down the street from dodge 10 in highland mi and they have been shooting for about a week and still there. there base camp is just down the street at the highland rec dog trials area in highland.

FYI... The location is not a "recreation center in Highland Park", it is Dodge Park in the Highland Lake Recreation Area north of Milford. A friend of mine was scouting a hunting site and stumbled across the movie set in the woods, including two identical buildings, one normal and the other partially destroyed. Sort of a before and after. A security guard on site confirmed the movie set as part of Red Dawn.

anyone know if Red Dawn is filming at the area of north Wilson Ave. 12 mile & Campbell cross streets? I got an email that there has been filming the last three days. Gene Simmons of Kiss was there, and the person who emailed me got a picture of him. Is there something else maybe occuring in that area? Even though its pretty close to where Red Dawn had been filming before moving to Pontiac

The building that I work in is at the corner of Saginaw and Huron. We can see North up Saginaw to where they are filming currently. We did watch the filming of the characters at a check point with some gun play.

Later in the day the production will be moving South to Saginaw and Lawrence. It appears as though production is being set up there also,with possible explosions, so the rumor mills states.

A few roads in Royal Oak are closed as I post this. N. Main Street, and Rochester road ( about 1 block from my house) there's army tanks all over the place, the local church parking lot is used for a camp ground for the cast and crew. The area that's blocked off is mostly a large wooded park and a few residential streets. Makes it hard to get the kids to school and back but kind of exciting to see this going on too.

My photos from the filming of the RED DAWN remake. Location was Lincoln street. They had extras hired at $1000, mostly residents on the street. This scene was paratroopers coming from the sky, extras point up & look perplexed and surprised, then a machine gun goes off, then a car chase ensues. The cars had Washington plates and one of them was a Spokane Police car. It was definitely an interesting late afternoon for my husband, daughter and me.

It is filming on Kendrick Street. I just saw the prop house. I want to be an extra. I wonder if I walk down the street when they are filming if I can be in the movie. filmingindetroit.com never even let me know about this one. They always tell me about movies 50 miles away.

I signed up moths ago for FilminginDetroit.com but they never let me know about this movie. They always tell me about movies being filmed like 50 miles away and this KEndrick street movie is being filmed less than a mile from me. I'm intrested in being an extra.

anyone in royal oak have information where they will be filming? I want to check it out when they do start filming.

i read something about it today, but of course they didnt give any information in the story. Just that it would be a house, some residential streets and some backyards. If anyone does have information, just post it here and ill check it out!!

filming on Kendricks Mt. Clemens is slated for Sept. 10th. thru the 14th. which is the date the house (prop) is supposed to be imploded. I live right behind the set and have seen it from the onset being built, and have looked at the blueprints etc....
